Sitting back a little this morning, since the week has been fairly frantic so far.

Yesterday was a full-on day - detailed training on library service standards in the morning, marrying up scans of old industrial photos with their catalogue entries in the afternoon and troubleshooting an urgent website problem in the evening. This is life when you have two jobs and a volunteer role - next year there should be the small matter of fitting in the postgrad qualification too.

This morning I’m going to be decorating pledge boxes and printing materials for National Libraries Day. This afternoon I will be doing a four-hour library shift. And off the gym to try to get in the right mindset for half-marathon training this evening despite a nagging overuse injury to my hip.
